Pound Ridge

Map
MapQuest Reservation Road is the entance road.

From Josh Feldman: To get to Pound Ridge, take I-684 to route 35. Go 3 miles on 35 East, and go on 121 South. The Park is immediately on your left. The fee is $8, but only $4 if you have a Westchester Park Pass.

The trails all start about 2 miles from the park enterance, and there is plenty of parking at the trailhead. While there are over 30 miles of trails, I wouldn’t recommend running on any but the three major loops. The RED loop is 5 miles, the GREEN loop is 3 miles and the YELLOW loop is 2 miles (if I would have to guess, I would say that all of the loops are a decent amount longer than their stated distance). There are markers every 50 meters or so, and it really takes a lot in order to get lost. It’s definitely a more rugged experience than the Rockies or New Paltz, but enjoyable nonetheless.
